ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS TRANSOM WINDOW 44 x 19.25 ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE
This is a great transom that was salvaged from a Pennsylvania Victorian home. It has a simple design and nice muted colors. There are no cracks or breaks. The original frame is painted on both sides. It measures 44 inches wide by 19.25 tall and 1.5 inches thick. The glass only measures approx. 40 inches by 16 inches. Overall it is in good co ndition. Scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning but will clean up nicely. The glass was held in by wood strips, 2 are missing. They could be replaced or removed and replaced with glazing putty. One corner of the frame has a light separation. Look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job!
