Antique Leaded Slag Glass Lamp Shade 8 Panel Large Ornate with Base
From a very fine estate comes this stunning Antique Slag Glass Table Lamp. The shade has 8 beautiful slag glass panels held in an ornate metal frame. I believe the shade metal is bronze as it is not iron. The slag glass colors are wonderful and varied as you can see in the photos of it lighted. The base of the lamp is a combination of metals. The bottom is iron the rest is not, maybe bronze or brass as is the cap and finial. The shade simply rests on the top rim of the cap. The shade measures 15 1/2″ across and 9 1/2″ top to bottom. The base is 25 1/2″ tall by 8″ across bottom. It is in very good condition with no cracks to the glass. I see 3 tiny edge panel chips on the inside which do not show and are not at all obvious.
