C 1905 Unique Art Glass co. What makes these lamps are the art glasses used in making them. You can find Periwinkle Unique Art lamps but the ones with the right glass explode with beauty when lit! LOOK at the top glass Tiffany used the same glass that’s on the top geometric part of this shade. I think I saw one hairline fracture in one of the green leaves that’s it and that’s from heat normal wear, better than normal it’s amazing! Shade is 16″ wide 9″ deep. Base is gorgeous as well with appropriate cap with attached finial. 3 Eagle sockets with satellite pull chains. Nice brown cloth cord & vintage style plug. Fine Antique Handel / Unique Leaded Stained Glass Apple or Cherry Blossom Lamp

From a local smoke free house is this fine Handel / Unique Arts and Crafts leaded lamp. It has an allover leaded floral design with an irregular border. It has leaves and flowers we have seen referred to as an apple or cherry blossom design made by both the Handel and Unique Art Glass Companies. The base has has a bronze finish with a floral design and an Oriental style pierced base. The base is not marked but we have seen several in reference books and others sell as Handel. Some were with and some without the Oriental pierced base. The shade is also unmarked and could be made by Handel or Unique Art and Glass Co. We were told that the Unique Art Co. Made shades for others as well as there own but were rarely signed. The lamp measures about 23 1/4 inches tall and about 16 1/4 inches wide. The shade alone measures about 16 1/4 inches wide and about 7 inches high. The electrics are original Hubbell sockets with acorn pulls. The wire was updated years ago and the electrics work well. The lamp is in good condition with some oxidation pimples on the lamp base and the lamp cap is press fit into the shade. See photos as they are part of the description. If it is more we will pay the excess. Would make a nice addition to any collection. Guaranteed old and as described. Very nice leaded glass lamp by Unique Art Glass Company. Red apple blossom with beautiful green and red glass. This lamp looks great lit or unlit. It looks even better in person. The lamp measures 22 x 16 and is all original including sockets and acorn pull chains. The patina is also the original dark bronze finish with the original green felt on the bottom. There are a few small hairline cracks in the glass , nothing that distracts from this beautiful lamp. Light bulbs will not be included. Thank you for viewing , this is truly a great looking lamp. I looked closely and I did not see any repairs. It looks all original. It has lighter green glass towards the top gradually transitioning to darker green to the bottom. It is very nicely done and uniform. I counted maybe 5 or 6 hairlines on the lamp , not easy to see. You have to look real close. Great colors & Quality glass. This is a large and impressive Apple Blossom leaded glass table lamp by the Unique Art Glass and Metal Company of Brooklyn, NY. For similar examples see Mosaic Shades by Paul Crist and Leadedlamps. This is one of their finer shades on their very rare hexagonal base. All of it is done in their best Tiffany like verde green patina. Of all the fine makers, including Duffner, Handel, Riviere, etc. Unique came the closest to Tiffany in the quality of their patina. This base is a great example, 100% correct and with very little wear. The lead patina is worn is several spots and could use a touch up but the glass is tight with only a few tight heat cracks. The pale green leaves contrast nicely with the pink flowers and the caramel background turns lighter at it reaches the top. Top quality all the way with great color and contrast. Overall an impressive an radiant lamp. The base and shade are in good condition. The 2 piece heat cap is not Unique but is period. See the pictures for more detail. The shade is approx 22″ wide and the base 30″ tall. Or so depending on destination. Feel free to ask any questions or request additional pictures. All sales are final. Antique Unique Art Glass Leaded Glass / Stained Glass Lamp On Wilkinson Base

Hello and thank you for looking. For your consideration is a wonderful antique leaded glass lamp. As is the case with almost all leaded lamps from this era, both shade and base are unsigned. However, both the shade and base are easily identifiable based on their characteristics. Lets start with the base as this is one is extremely easy to identify. The base is clearly made by Wilkinson. Collectors of leaded glass lamps will be very familiar with this as one of Wilkinsons most desirable bases. It can also be found all throughout Mosaic Shades Vol 2 in the Wilkinson chapter. The base is in excellent condition with no loss to the original dark patina. It retains its 3 original sockets, as well as the 3 acorn chains. The base stands a full 26 height to the finial. Please note the shade rest/finial have been changed in order to accommodate the non-Wilkinson shade. Now onto the shade. The shade is 18 and made of beautiful bent glass with a caramel background and lovely pink flowers with green leaves, that even display some subtle mottling. The shade has some heat cracks of course, but nothing serious. A 1 inch line of lead has been added to one of the top panels, presumably to address a small crack. I have confidently attributed the shade to Unique Art Glass based on several conversations with some of the most knowledgeable collectors in the field, but more importantly based on the following 2 details. 1-across the lower rim of the shade is a flat strap that measures just shy of 3/16th of an inch. A hallmark of Unique shades with an irregular border is a lower rim flat strap measuring just under 3/16. This fact can be found on p51 of Mosaic Shades 2. I have included a picture of the flat strap. 2- the upper aperture of the shade measures 3 and 5/8 inches. Again, this is a specific attribute of Unique shades that are between 14-20 inches. This fact can be found on a p50 of mosaic shades 2. The above 2 characteristics make Unique Art Glass the only viable option for shade attribution. The base is a huge approx 9 1/2 diameter. It has three Hubbel sockets and nine inch Acorn pull chains. The approximate top opening of 3 1/8 is accompanied by the original cap and finial.
