The obscurity of the background glass is moderate to heavy. The glass is in perfect condition, with no cracks or breaks. Very nice 17 lite wide antique arched top transom window, complete with its original frame. Some of the leaded mullions have separated at the joint where they meet the bottom arched mullion. The bottom arched pane is cracked and has a chip the rest of the glass is in good undamaged condition. It has old chipped and weathered white paint both sides with bare wood showing under. The wood frame shows normal wear, it is still solid with no rot or soft spots. Would look great over entry doors. Please look over the pictures and ask questions when needed. Overall – 60 1/2″wide x 16″tall x 5 3/4depth. Window w/out frame – 59 3/4″wide x 13 3/4″tall. ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS TRANSOM WINDOW 32 x 21 ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE

This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Jersey City NJ Victorian home. It has great colors and is done in the queen anne style with wood mullions between the pieces of stained glass. The central diamond is leaded with a jewel in the middle. The original frame is unpainted. It measures 31.25 inches wide by 21 inches tall and just over 1 inch thick. Overall it is in good condition. Scratches and dings to the frame as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There is one tight hairline. The glazing putty will need to be touched up. Look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time!
