Up for your consideration, a fine American c 1860 – 1880 Stained Glass Chipped Ice Leaded Window measures 39.2″ x 28.2″ including wood frame. This window was salvaged from an old upstate New York estate that was built around 1860 and “upgraded” around 1880, thus the windows date to between 1860 or 1880. This is the second of two matched windows… Overall beautiful glass, with green, purple, tan & clear colors… There are four cracked panels, in particular three of the clear chipped ice panels have damage from a bb pellet and paint that could stand to be scraped from the glass too. I bought these at an antique store in Prescott, AZ. Pictures don’t do it justice! 19 x 43 high each. This is for the pair. I do go to the Long Beach antique swsp meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Listing the smaller ones first. Each window has different requirements. But in general. Here’s my response. “. The 2 larger ones, are wrapped in paper, then bubble wrap, then a piece of plywood cut to size for the middle. Then for the second window, paper, bubble wrap, then, I cut styrofoam to size, tape it to the bottom & top (think. Sandwich). Then I take cardboard, wrap that, then I take that “Saran wrap or shrink wrap & encase it. Then, I put it in a box with lots of packing material. Antique American BEVELED LEADED (stained) WINDOW c. Antique American BEVELED LEADED (stained) WINDOW. The frame is 28″ by 28″ and the glass is 23.5″ by 23.5″. Frame is painted black hardwood (possibly oak). Each piece of glass has a deep bevel with cut fan design and is the high quality old glass reflects like crystal. Wonderful window can be hung from ceiling or in front of window. It can also be installed in a wall between two rooms or used in doors, cabinets. Actual glass is 49.5″ wide by 17.5″ tall. ORIGINAL FRAME IS STRUCTURALLY SOUND – HOOKS FOR HANGING. LEADING IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, STABILIZATION BARS ON BACK. GLASS IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 1 SMALL TIGHT HAIRLINE. Antique window from a victorian house has a muted stained glass design which is accented by several textured clear glass. Glass includes rippled, mosaic, and leaf fossil glass. In addition there are beveled glass and 4 very chunky jewels.
