MIDSIZE OLD ENGLISH LEADED STAINED GLASS WINDOW Edwardian Shield 17.25″ x 24.25″. This old Stained Glass window is from an English home. These pieces were usually at the side of a door or a landing window, or sometimes just a larger than usual top window. Dating from the 1920’s & 30’s. The sizes are 15.75″ x 22.75″ Glass & 17.25″ x 24.25″ overall including the frame. The colors are Amber, Gold, two types of Red and three types of Green. The obscurity of the background glass is Moderately Obscured. The glass is in perfect condition, with no cracks or breaks. These transom pieces were usually over a door or across the top of a large window. The sizes are 39.5″ x 15.5″ Glass & 43.25″ x 19.25″ overall including the frame. The colors are shades of Green, Gold, Flash Red and Blue. The obscurity of the background glass is Heavy. PLEASE NOTE: There are 2 original steel bars on the back of this window for reinforcement. This Beautiful Stained Glass window is from an old Edwardian home & dates from the very early 1900’s. The measurements are Glass size & Overall including the frame. The colors in this window are green, mauve & yellow. Most of the glass is lightly obscure. The glass is in perfect condition with no cracks or breaks. The frame while in good shape will always be less than perfect & can be hung as is, re-painted, stripped or stained to suit your decor. The obscurity of the background glass is moderate. The frame while in good shape may not be perfect, it can be stripped & re painted or stained or left as is to suit buyers decor. UP FOR SALE IS THIS EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL STAINED GLASS WINDOW THAT CAME FROM A MANSION IN NEWBURGH- NY. THE GLASS IN THIS WINDOW IS ALREADY SOMETHING INTERESTING, IT IS VERY ROUGH AND UNEVEN. AT FIRST I WOULD NOT THINK THIS TYPE OF GLASS WOULD LOOK GOOD WHEN THE SUN HITS, BUT BOY WAS I WRONG!! NOT ONLY GIVE YOU SOME BEAUTIFUL COLORS ALSO BLOCKS THE SUN A LITTLE, PERFECT FOR THAT ROOM WHERE YOU DONT WANT DIRECT SUN LIGHT. THE PICTURES DONT DO JUSTICE FOR THIS PIECE. THE WINDOW WITH FRAME MEASURES 40 x 23. IT DOES HAVE ONE CRACK THAT IT SHOWS ON LAST PICTURE, BUT ITS CONDITION IS EXCELLENT CONSIDERING THE AGE.
