Art Nouveau – Jugendstil lamp. With opalescent faceted glass beads in 3 rows downwards. To a circular metal construction with. Chunky opalescent glass pieces, with a few small pieces of red glass. All held in lead, then. Numerous, hollow blown glass tubes/cones (sorry we do not know the english word) in 3 different shapes. And 6 strings with faceted red glass beads. Condition: very good, some small pieces of the metal wire look renewed. All glass there and good. Length: circa 75 cm / circa 29.5 inch. Weight circa 2 kg. It has old wiring, but is w orking. Non professional, old wiring. Have it checked for safety before using this electric device. Pick-up prefered, because very vulnerable hollow glass parts. It is simple, elegant, and classic all rolled into one. It is a perfect estate piece to gift or wonderful to start or add to your collection. Beautiful & very unusual arts & crafts oak hall seat. So unusual it may have been a custom made item originally. Nice leaded glass panels on the side with unusual textures and bowed pieces. Extremely different with the areas on the back sides for hanging coats and cane or umbrella holders. The front even has hearts cut out in the top. Probably on the earlier side of arts and crafts era since it has some earlier elements. It is the original finish. Has some variation of colors on the finish and the seat shows some darker marks please see photos. The leaded glass on one side has 3 cracks but seems secure in the piece again please see the photos. Typical aging such as some wood shrinkage and worm holes. The wear is normal and appropriate to an item of this age. There are reflections in the photographs.
