Pair Antique Vintage c1910 Craftsman Arts & Crafts Piano Windows Kokomo Glass
I have a pair of these piano windows from the Arts & Crafts/Craftsman era c1910 that were salvaged from a Chicago residence. Glass is original to both of these and is in excellent undamaged condition. There is no bowing to either panel and both sit firm in the original frames. The glass is a beautiful mix of opalescent and iridescent Kokomo glass which is no longer manufactured and makes these windows extra special. The frames are original and have been sanded down and painted a rich graphite color. I can install loops in the tops of the windows for hanging if desired. Price is for the pair. 32w x 24 3/40h x 1 3/4thick, glass only 27 1/2w x19 1/2h. I have photos of the home and original setting it was in, just ask for pics (had to limit my photos to 12). This is a MASSIVE 11’1″ long bookcase by 55 1/2″ tall. The only way I could move it was quite ingenious if I do say so myself. Backed trailer up to their garage and I had cut rollers and 11′ long boards to roll it into trailer and then into my house. Of all that gorgeous glass, only one tiny 1 crack that is quite hard to find/see. I cleaned and waxed the brass door glides and drawer runners. Very little wear on any of it. There is only the tiniest negligible wear on the runners/guides (for those that know or care what I’m talking about). General age wear to original finish, but very presentable even in original state. One side is raw-unfinished because it was up against a wall where it rested near the fireplace. So the perpendicular crown molding that went from this piece to the fireplace left an unfinished shadow on this molding (3rd photo). Great solid sturdy piece. All original shelves intact along with those trapazoid shaped cleats for the sawtooth adjusting brackets. I would guess this was 1890, but I feel like the home owner mentioned the home was 1905. Please ask for the other pics if interested. Preferably, you’d have a ramped trailer that can be backed up to my door and we roll it on slowly moving the pvc rollers as they get spit out. I really want to own this for my own home and do, but frankly, a 1969 Rambler with low ceilings really isn’t the finest resting spot for this impressive beauty. The item “Antique Victorian 11 FOOT! AN AMAZING BIFOLD, FRENCH DOOR FROM OLD ST. Salvaged and in fantastic, antique condition these doors flanked a large fireplace and were used as bookcase cabinet doors. The doors are cherry wood which is in very nice condition. The glass panels are leaded with clear glass paired with gold stained glass and blue, cream and brown/tan slag glass. A shield design is formed with the slag glass. The original brass handle and brass hinges are present. You will need to add hinges where the doors affix to the wall casing. This set is in very nice condition BUT ONE OF THE SMALL CLEAR GLASS PIECES HAS A CRACK AS PICTURED. The old caulk is cracking and will need scraped and replaced. The wood has some crazing to the original lacquer/polyurethane. Doors do fold flat. Brass hinges are on the back side of the doors. The doors are 17.75″ wide (each wooden panel) and 36″ wide together, They are 67.25″ tall and the wood is 1.5″ thick. The glass panels are 62″ tall and 13.25″ wide.
