Antique Stained Glass Style Window Door Panel Gather Ye Rosebuds Framed Art
We have a beautiful, colorful and unusual antique stained glass style window or door panel. This is a great stand alone piece and has vintage backlighting, as shown in photographs, (I would highly advise checking these for saftey because of the age the fixtures). Includes metal chains shown that were used for hanging purposes. Beautiful subject matter of a young woman holding a rose and the message below Gather Ye Rosebuds. This is a reference to the Robert Herrick poem published in 1647. Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying; And this same flower that smiles today, Tomorrow will be dying. This panel is created with an unusual process. This is silk screen printed on glass. The texture is either hand painted or a pressed glass design. The entire image is sandwiched between flat glass panels. This is not conventional stained glass. There is no lead and separate panes. It is an old piece though. Probably 1950’s based on the age of the oak panel. This panel measures 15″ wide x 31″ tall. With the frame it is 21″ x 38″. This is a very nice vintage item that would add a beautiful Victorian detail to any home. Place this in a window to add a splash of color to a room.
