This old Stained Glass window is from an English home. These larger pieces were usually at the side of a door or a landing window. & dates from the 1920’s & 30’s The sizes are 33″ x 15″ Glass & 34 1/2″ x 16 1/2″ overall including the frame. The colors are blue, gold, green and mauve The obscurity of the background glass is slightly obscure The original frame could not be saved so this window has been reframed in a new frame. GOV012 Reframed Older Pretty English Leaded Stain Window 20 3/8 X 15 3/4
The frame is unfinished pine. It can be painted, stained, sealed or just left alone to weather naturally. Please Read This Carefully. We only sell OLD Windows. Glass making was not perfected until around 1930. Before then a lot of glass, especially glass made in to sheets had bubbles, waves, imperfections such as ridges or lines of separation when the glass was made. It’s not unusual at all to find these in our windows, in most cases it’s desirable because it validates the age of the windows. If you get a window that to you looks like a “crack” is in it, simply run your finger across the line on both sides to “feel” the glass, if one side is smooth and the other side has a ridge or bump, it’s simply an imperfection in the way the glass was made. CRACKS Can Be Felt on BOTH Sides of the Glass, you can’t crack one side on a piece of glass without cracking both sides. The window has pretty Blue, Amber, Green and three (3) Types of Textured White glass. There are No Cracks in the glass of this window. The last two pictures are of the backside of this window. The window is about 20 3/8″ wide and about 15 3/4″ tall overall. The glass in window is about 19″ X 12″. Check Out My Feedbacks!!
