Antique Duffner & Kimberly Leaded Glass Lamp Bradley & Hubbard Handel Wilkinson

This is a fine Duffner & Kimberly Leaded Glass Lamp in wonderful condition. The lamp stands 23 inches tall on its 7 inch part cast iron base and weighs in at over 17 pounds. The shade is 17 1/2 inches in diameter and 6 1/4 tall with a 3.5 inch aperture. The lamp is unsigned but for some numbers on the bottom of the base. It is, however, pictured two times in Paul Crist’s book, “Mosaic Shades, Volume 2″, but without the 4 feet on the base. The feet and the base have the same numbers on them “3086” and are original to this particular base. The shade support and the heavy brass patinated cap are also original Duffner & Kimberly and are also pictured in the book. Most all of the original finish is there with some wear to the high points of the Brass feet and some of the sculpted parts of the main column. Simply a good looking lamp. The shade is also unsigned and is a D & K pattern also pictured in the book. It could be a reproduction, since unsigned, but is well made and looks wonderful with great colors and about 700 pieces of glass in it and a 3.5 inch aperature in it as mentioned before. The lamp has been correctly rewired using its original porcelain sockets and works perfectly. Just a great looking lamp for your home or office. Wonderful Duffner & Kimberly Leaded Glass Lamp. Shade has very few small heat cracks but no loose or missing glass. Shade measures 19.5 wide. Base is in great condition with its three matching sockets and acorn pulls all in smooth working order. Lamp base measures about 24 Tall and 8.5 across bottom of base. That’s huge overall savings folks. I have for sale this super nice and full sized Handel/Unique arts and crafts leaded lamp. This is a supercool lamp folks so pay attention lol. This lamp is in very good overall condition and needs no excuses. The base in very good original condition and presents itself very well as you can see. It also has three matching Hubbell sockets all in matching excellent patina and with matching acorn pulls, and its also been recently rewired with proper period style cloth cord and old style plug. The base signed on the bottom with a Handel cloth tag. Now onto the shade. The shade in great coloration with very vibrant glass and in a excellent arts and crafts geometric design. The shade in excellent original condition and needing zero excuses. The leading all tight and right throughout and no loose glass pieces. The pictures as you see them is from three 7 watt bulbs thats it. Not 15, 25, 40s or 60s just 7s. Thats how vibrant this glass is. The patina on the leading just excellent throughout, with the leading all tight and right everywhere. A stray tight age line here or there, maybe 2-3 total out of probably 300 pieces of glass so thats quite an achievement for its age. This has been a well maintained lamp for the past 100+ years. It measures 23.5 inches tall with the shade being 16.5 inches wide. Simply a great great lamp from one of the greatest makers ever and in fantastic overall condition. Please Check out my other items! Very Rare Handel Oil Lamp Base For Leaded, Painted Glass Shade Tiffany Era

Up for your consideration is an Amazing and very Rare Handel Oil Lamp base with the Original 3 Light conversion ring. When these bases do come up for sell you often find them missing the most important part witch is the 3 socket ring. This ring goes one step further and has an extremely rare signed Handel Hubbell socket. The socket alone is very hard to come by and just adds to this base. This type of base was made by the Handel Lamp Company at a time when not a lot of homes had electricity. The base is 20 tall to the shade rest, 24 1/2 tall overall to top of glass. It is 8 at the widest point and has a 7 wide base. This lamp is signed as well on the bottom in the common location and on one of the shade ring sockets. The only condition issue is a small crack inside the base (shown in the pictures) this does not show through to the outside and is very stable. Just overall a very nice and hard to come by example of Handels work. I have had this in my collection for far to long and its time to let someone else be the keeper for awhile. Dont let this one slip by. Thank you for looking. I have a lot of questions regarding using the oil portion of this base. The oil canister does hold oil just fine with no leaks and it does have a wick, but will probably need a new one. I added a picture to show what kind of wick is used in these center draft style canisters. Also this lamp has the standard Handel 3-3/4 shade holder so any of the 16-20 diameter Handel painted or overlay shades will work with this base. He was a teacher of stained glass to Louis Comfort Tiffany. If you search MacDonald theres a Wikipedia article. Also on Leaded Lamps Dot Com theres some pictures of this shade on a Grueby Lamp base. This shade was a mystery on who made the shade since its only signed MacDonald. I herd it could of been his Son or Daughter. That cleared the confusion on who made the shade. Donald Newton MacDonald was the son that ended up being the head of the Stained glass lamp department of Bigelow & Kennard lamp co. So now I believe that these signed MacDonald Leaded shades are Prototypes to show Bigelow & Kennard his work and was hired and the same shades where then signed Bigelow & Kennard as we see today. This shade is exceptional. The shade is 20 in Diameter with a 3 1/2 aperture top opening. The condition is mint. I hate to say that but I cant find a crack maybe a very small one up by the top in the green glass. The leading is amazing just like all Bigelow shades. The glass has a hammered type green glass and a beautiful White Clam Broth bottom glass as Bigelow used in a lot of there shades. The shade is signed MacDonald. I do have the Grueby lamp base I would also sell if there is interest? This shade is very hard and rare. If you have a nice Bigelow Kennard base there you go. If you have questions please ask. Up for consideration is a Nice Rare Bigelow Kennard student lamp. First if you know anything about Bigelow Lamps they are super hard to find, Let alone a Student lamp. This lamp has a nice Brass and Bronze weighted base. The base stands 21 tall with a 10 wide at the center of the shade holders and is 13 wide at the outside edge of the holder to outside edge. The foot is 6 1/4 in Diameter. The base has a nice dark brown patina, The shade holders are solid bronze and has a UNO threaded washer to hold the shades to the holder. The holder also has a top piece that can be screwed up or down to the top of the shade. The shades are not signed but Are Bigelow. You can go to leaded lamps dot com and see the same shades under Bigelow & Kennard. The shades are 4 -/2 tall and 7 opening. The top has a Hubbell UNO 1 1/4 threaded top marked Hubbell Pat D July 03 1903, Fed 03 1904. The shades are in good shape. The shades have a great Clam broth back glass know for Bigelow shades with a floral border. The shade condition is pretty good. One shade I dont see any issues maybe one small heat crack the other shade has 8 or 9 heat cracks as shown in the pictures and a missing piece of leading on the bottom edge as shown in the pictures. The lamp has been rewired and has its original nickel plate inline switch and old plug. Ive taken a lot of pictures which is part of the description. Use your zoom feature to see condition. Thats a huge savings overall for sure. I have for sale this excellent and properly signed Bradley and Hubbard lamp. This is a very nice looking and nicely designed arts and crafts geometric lamp. This lamp Is very large measuring in at 24 inches tall with the shade being 20 inches wide. The base with no breaks, cracks, or losses in the metalware and in fine working order. The base also in original patina and in very nice condition. The leaded shade also in very good overall condition and structurally sound throughout. The leading tight and right and the glass quality/coloration very good as you can see how nice this lights up in the photos. No glass loss and only a couple age lines here or there to be seen. I have to assume the base and shade have always been together for the past 100 years or so because they are nicely matching, as well as the total proportion of shade and base. Just all in all a great Bradley and Hubbard lamp thats super well made and in great arts and crafts form.
