Antique Stained Glass Eyebrow Transom Window Rose 1 Of 2 76 X 10 Salvage

This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It has great colors and design with a rose and green leaves in the middle. The background glass is clear distorted in a variety of textures and patterns. There are no cracks or breaks. The glass has a curved top and is set in a rectangular frame. The original frame is painted on both sides. It measures 76.5 inches wide by 10.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is appx 62 x 7. Overall it is in good condition. Scratches and dings to the frame as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. The frame is weathered on the outside and it has a cosmetic crack. The glazing putty needs to be touched up. Look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! The frame is made out of either Pine or Whitewood and has been left unfinished by the shipper. It can be painted, stained , sealed or just left to weather out… Please Read This Carefully. We only sell OLD Windows. Glass making was not perfected until around 1930. Before then a lot of glass, especially glass made in to sheets had bubbles, waves, imperfections such as ridges or lines of separation when the glass was made. It’s not unusual at all to find these in our windows, in most cases it’s desirable because it validates the age of the windows. If you get a window that to you looks like a “crack” is in it, simply run your finger across the line on both sides to “feel” the glass, if one side is smooth and the other side has a ridge or bump, it’s simply an imperfection in the way the glass was made. CRACKS Can Be Felt On BOTH Sides of the Glass, you can’t crack one side on a piece of glass without cracking both sides. On some of the reframed windows, the shipper has repaired some of the lead work around the ends or borders or edges. There may be some “new solder” on the end joints or edges. The window has a pretty Red Rose along a Green Border across the top with Pale Amber, Three (3) types of Green on the Leaves and a type of White textured glass. There Are No Cracks In The Glass Of This Window. The glass size is about 25 1/4″ wide and about 16″ tall. Check Out My Feedbacks!!
