GORGEOUS SET OF (2) ANTIQUE BEVELED GLASS SIDELIGHT TRANSOM WINDOWS, early 1900s
GORGEOUS SET OF (2) ANTIQUE BEVELED GLASS SIDELIGHT TRANSOM WINDOWS, early 1900s. THE PICTURES TELL THE STORY. From a coal mining town in central eastern Pennsylvania, this is a really nice antique set. THERE ARE NO CRACKS IN EITHER WINDOW. MEASURE APPROXIMATELY: 62″ BY 12″ (framed). Measurements of glass only areas: about 57″ by 8″. FRAMES ARE ABOUT 1.5 THICK. BEVELING IS THICK AND TRACES EVERY GLASS TILE IN THE WINDOWS. THERE IS A TINY SCRATCH ON 1 WINDOW (see photo#5). Framed with mortise and tenon construction (see photo#6, and 7). THESE WINDOWS ARE ALL ORIGINAL IN “AS FOUND” CONDITION. THEY WERE SCRUBBED AND WASHED. CAULK IS IN POOR CONDITION, PAINT IS SCARCE, AND CHIPPY WHITE. THERE IS A SMALL AMOUNT OF HOUSEPAINT ON EDGES, FROM YEARS OF USE. I DO NOT KNOW THE HISTORY OF THESE.
