ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS TRANSOM WINDOW 62 x 22 ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE
This is an amazing window that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian. It has a wonderful intricate design and vivid colors. There are 10 jewels and 3 square roundel tiles across the middle. The frame is newer, unpainted and in good condition. It measures 61.75 inches wide by 21.75 tall and is. 1.5 inch thick. The glass only measures approximately 58.25 by 18.5 inches. Overall it is in good condition. Scratches and dings as it is antique. There are 7 or 8 tight hairlines but no missing glass. It originally had 2 reinforcing bars but they were removed causing the glass to get a little wiggly. I will be taking it to the studio to have the glass caulked, tightened up and have reinforcing bars added at their original spots. Please check in with me on restoration progress before purchasing. Please look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time!
