Nantucket Landscape Stained Glass Window by Mitch Carl
This window was crafted by island artist Mitch Carl. He was once an inkeeper and he took up stain glass making to keep busy during the winter months. Most of his work is leaded glass lamps and windows. Today he still makes small square tiles 4×4 in glass as gifts. This is a beautiful colored landscape of the moors. OLD ENGLISH LEADED STAINED GLASS WINDOW Hand Painted Floral 20.25″ x 18.75″. This Beautiful Stained Glass window is from the top of a “bay” window & dates from the 1920’s & 30’s. The measurements are 18.5″ x 17″ Glass size & 20.25″ x 18.75″ Overall including the frame. The colors in this window are Green, Gold, Blue, Mauve and two shades of Red. Most of the glass is Moderately Obscured. The glass is in perfect condition with no cracks or breaks. The original frame could not be saved so we have reframed this window in a new, painted frame. This Leaded panel is constructed of Blue/Clear/Frosted Bevels – it has leaded lines and is fully cemented. Using bevels and clear is to bring the outdoors in through the glass. You will NOT see shapes clearly just splash of color, yet you have privacy since you cannot see in from the outside breaking up the rays from the sun protecting what is within. In beveled glass, light is reflected and refracted by the beveled angles of the glass which creates a stunning, prismatic effects adding depths and elegance a rainbow of colors. 19th Century Architectural Salvage Stained Glass Window Kiln Fired Hand Painted
This is a fantastic looking antique, 19th Century stained glass window. The portion in the center is hand painted and kiln fired. It depicts an amazing castle on a mountain top. The quality of the artwork in this center section is phenomenal. The overall size of this piece is 12″ x 16″. The center portion with the castle measures approximately 9″ tall x 5 1/2″ wide. It has some minor wear from age and use in the leaded area but overall is in very good antique condition and looks incredible. Please see photos for condition and design and please ask questions.
