Large Pair of Antique Stained Glass Windows

Large Pair of Antique Stained Glass Windows. 3,000.00 each or both for 5,500.00. These are beautiful, matching windows, 6 feet tall by 3 feet wide, completely restored. The glass is tight and secure, the lead has been cleaned and resoldered where necessary. The center medallions (one of red roses and one of white lilies) are hand painted. There are 16 jewels in each window. The design style, glass color, jewels, leading, and size, strongly suggest a creation date around 1880, and the windows were extracted from a church destroyed in the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake. I can not prove that fact, but it is the oral provenance that has travelled with these windows. The craftsmanship is exquisite. There are a few small glass cracks, but all have been stabilized. The wood frames have been striped, sanded, stained and sealed. One window has a working locking latch in the frame. Both have places where there were hinges. These are ready to hang! If you are further away, I would only recommend a speciality (art) shipper (at your expense). These are large and glass. Pick-up for free is always a welcome option. Large 71″x33.5″ Leaded Stained Glass Window Panel Multicolor. It is a flower design. This panel was designed to be installed behind a picture window with appropriate matching trim. Most new windows now can easily be custom sized to allow this panel to be installed. This panel was originally installed behind a custom window. The panel is currently clamped to a sheet of plywood with wood straps. There are 2 metal stiffener strips on the back side of the panel. The strips generally follow the leading so that they are not visible on the front side. The overall leading looks very smooth. One of the orange glass panels has a short crack. I don’t believe it would be visible from a distance but it I did notice it on closer inspection. Please see pictures for more details. LARGE ANTIQUE STAINED LEADED GLASS WINDOW, PA MANSION SALVAGE 1890s. THIS WINDOW IS ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE FROM A DEMOLITION PROJECT AT A WILKES BARRE PA MANSION. HOUSE IS LOCATED ON WYOMING STREET. HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1890. THIS WINDOW HAS SOME SIZE TO IT. 54 7/8″ WIDE BY 25 9/16″ TALL. GLASS ONLY AREA MEASUREMENTS. 22 3/8″ BY 50 1/8″. FRAME THICKNESS: 1.5. BOTTOM SILL 2 1/8. THERE ARE 4 SUPPORT BARS. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS. #7 shows the outside face. #8 shows the inside face. #9 shows MORTISE and TENON CONSTRUCTION. #10 shows a tiny bit of frame edge damage. Probably from the removal. #11 shows the ORIGINAL HARDWARE (hasp). EVEN IN STRONG LIGHTING. IT’S POSSIBLE THAT THERE IS ONE HIDDEN IN THE EDGE GLASS, BUT I DON’T SEE ANYTHING MAJOR.
