Antique stained leaded glass window panel or transom hand made 20¾ x 40½ and framed under clear glass. Comes from an old antique shop. In very good antique condition, No cracks, breakage, damage or repairs. Beautiful designs and terrific mixture of colors of stained glass through out. The leaded glass stained glass window is encased in a wooden frame with a clear sheet of glass over the front. The whole piece was put inside a wooden frame (this window or transom was probably hinged, on one side of the wood, so it swung open or stayed closed). 40 ½ tall end to of frame. 20 ¾ wide end to end of frame. It all hand made, very sturdy and solid. It comes from a glass maker artist studio where the artist draws out the concept, chooses the glass (colors, mixtures and textures) and makes the panel to order or as a piece of glass art. Was probably a commissioned piece for a special window. Outstanding all hand made workmanship patterns. Colors and Stained glass. Notice the large different colored cabochon jewels inset a different places. Historically, a cabochon is a gemstone that has been shaped and polished instead of faceted. These stones typically have a flat side and one domed side. This is a wonderfully conceived, designed and hand made stained glass tiffany style panel.
