ANTIQUE FIRED LEADED STAINED GLASS CHURCH WINDOW. VERY NICE ANTIQUE WINDOW, HANDPAINTED FIRED GLASS. THIS IS ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE FROM A DEMOLITION PROJECT AT A PHILADELPHIA AREA CHURCH/SCHOOL. Exact address is available to buyers… Feel free to ask! THERE ARE TWO IRON SUPPORT BARS. THERE IS NO WOOD FRAMING… Framing is highly recommended. THIS WINDOW IS VERY STRONG AND DURABLE… Even after almost 100 years! PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS! This glass is textured, see pictures! I SEE NO BROKEN GLASS WHATSOEVER, there may be a crack or two in the blue border glass… But there’s nothing obvious. P combined with X is Christos in Latin. IHS in Latin means “Jesus Christ savior of the world”. The “A” signifies ALPHA which is the beginning. Some interesting lore here… Word is that a Roman emperor in battle had a vision of. (In Latin) : In Hoc Signo Vinces… (In this sign you will conquer). He did in fact conquer, and the persecution of Christians began to diminish. Feel free to ask questions! Thanks for your interest! SET(2) ANTIQUE LEADED FIRED STAINED GLASS CHURCH WINDOWS 1920s EXC COND. THIS IS A REALLY NICE SET OF FIRED STAINED GLASS WINDOWS. Exact church location is unknown. THESE WERE COMPLETELY SEALED IN BETWEEN SAFETY GLASS, the contractor’s guess is around 100 years old. They are in above average condition. BOTH WINDOWS MEASURE APPROXIMATELY EACH. 17″ by 9.5″ by about 1/4 thick. Together in a frame they would be very close to. 34″ by 9.5″. FRAMING THESE PANELS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS! Photo #7 shows a chip next to a hairline crack located near the inscription “such is the”. (right side of left panel). THERE ARE NO OTHER ISSUES. THE INSCRIPTION ON THE TWO WINDOWS READS: “for of such is the kingdom of heaven to the glory of God and in memory of William Marshal Alrich MD and also Williams Alrich”. THESE WINDOWS ARE POSSIBLY ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE FROM THE PHILADELPHIA AREA. A little research indicates the doctor died around 1921. THESE WINDOWS MAY HAVE BEEN IN A NURSERY OR YOUTH AREA OF THE CHURCH. The inscription is referring to Matthew 19:14. ANTIQUE STAINED LEADED FIRED GLASS WINDOW, 11 RONDELS 4 HANDCUT JEWELS, BALT MD. VERY IMPRESSIVE ANTIQUE WINDOW FROM AN UNKNOWN CHURCH IN BALTIMORE MD. THERE WAS AN INSANE AMOUNT OF WORK ASSEMBLING A WINDOW THIS STYLE. 36 1/4″ tall by about 29 7/8″ wide. THERE ARE 3 ORIGINAL FLAT BAR SUPPORTS. NEW LEAD WAS AFFIXED TO THE TOP AND BOTTOM. THERE ARE SEVERAL HAIRLINE CRACKS THROUGHOUT THIS PANEL. (see photos #7 and 8 for examples). PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS! Photo#5 shows HANDCUT JEWEL. Photo#6 shows one RONDEL. GLASS IS OLD AND WAVY. 19th Century Architectural Salvage Stained Glass Window Kiln Fired Hand Painted

This is a fantastic looking antique, 19th Century stained glass window. The portion in the center is hand painted and kiln fired. It depicts an amazing castle on a mountain top. The quality of the artwork in this center section is phenomenal. The overall size of this piece is 12″ x 16″. The center portion with the castle measures approximately 9″ tall x 5 1/2″ wide. It has some minor wear from age and use in the leaded area but overall is in very good antique condition and looks incredible. Please see photos for condition and design and please ask questions. MEASURES APPROXIMATELY: 31 7/8″ wide by about 24″ tall. Measurements are close not exact… So measurements vary slightly… Depending on where you measure. THIS WINDOW IS WELL BUILT AND IS STRONG… BUYERS ARE STRONGLY URGED TO FRAME THIS WINDOW IN WOOD. WINDOW FEATURES 2 IRON SUPPORTS. IT WOULD BE EXTREMELY COSTLY TO REPRODUCE THIS WINDOW TODAY. I SEE ZERO CRACKS OR BREAKS ON THIS PANEL. There may be one or two tiny hairline cracks in the outside edge tiles (tiny).
