GOV007 Reframed Older Victorian English Leaded Stain Window 19 1/2 X 17 5/8
Style English Leaded Stained-Glass Window from England that has been reframed. The frame is unfinished pine. It can be painted, stained, sealed or just left alone to weather naturally. Please Excuse the “Red Bow” that is in nearly every picture, it’s part of our front porch Christmas decorations. Please Read This Carefully. We only sell OLD Windows. Glass making was not perfected until around 1930. Before then a lot of glass, especially glass made in to sheets had bubbles, waves, imperfections such as ridges or lines of separation when the glass was made. It’s not unusual at all to find these in our windows, in most cases it’s desirable because it validates the age of the windows. If you get a window that to you looks like a “crack” is in it, simply run your finger across the line on both sides to “feel” the glass, if one side is smooth and the other side has a ridge or bump, it’s simply an imperfection in the way the glass was made. CRACKS Can Be Felt on BOTH Sides of the Glass, you can’t crack one side on a piece of glass without cracking both sides. The window has pretty Burgandy, Very Pale Green and Very Pale Amber glasses. There are No Cracks in the glass of this window. The last two pictures are of the backside of this window. The window is about 19 1/2″ wide and about 17 5/8″ tall overall. The glass in window is about 16 1/2″ X 14 1/2″. Check Out My Feedbacks!! Please check out my other auctions on some more real nice Antique Furniture pieces and Antique accessories for your home.
