The original green slag glass is free of chips, cracks, or repairs. The shade has tabs to secure it and somewhere in it’s life it had been epoxy in some junctions to add in the support of each panel. Beautiful geometric Duffner & Kimberly leaded glass lamp c 1907. Lamp is wired correctly and ready to use. Black twisted cloth cord with built in on/off and dimmer in line really help set your lighting just as you like it, bright for reading, dimmer for TV time. Saves on pulling the chains as well on sockets. LOOK at the patina it’s amazing top to bottom. Lamp is 23 tall. 7.5 wide foot. Shade 19 x 9. 3 P&S sockets with newer insides for safety. This glass used in the shade, it lights up beautiful. The geometric shades are underrated and for no good reason. This is just as gorgeous as a floral one, depends on what your tastes are. WILKINSON LEADED GLASS LAMP, 18 RIBBON PATTERN w 3 LT ORIGINAL BASE TIFFANY ERA

Wilkinson Lamp Company of Brooklyn, New York. This pattern is called “Ribbon” and it is done in a wonderful arts and crafts design. This lamp has some size to it as it stands 24″ tall to the very top of the finial and the bottom of the base has a diameter of 10 1/8″ diagonal measurement from outside foot to outside foot. The shade has a diameter of 18 1/2. The shade is crafted from experienced craftsmen. The shade displays a skirted dome shape with a an Art Nouveau Ribbon pattern running throughout the lower skirt. The beige or caramel slag glass background gives brightness to the lamp when lit. The ribbon is made up of several opalescent glass colors such as red, forest green, green brown glass and a wonderful peach or light orange glass. The quality of the leading is excellent. Wilkinson had a unique way of locking their shades to their lamp bases. This system of mounting the shade to the base was similar to The Handel Lamp Company of Meriden, CT. The only difference is with a Wilkinson shade you set it on the cap that is hard mounted to the base and locked down by the finial. You then turn the shade until you feel it drop into the groove. You then turn the shade into the groove and it locks the shade to the base. Handel lamps did not have this locking feature. The base is made of heavy zinc and has a 3 light cluster to illuminate the shade. Each one of the sockets is signed Hubbell and the each have an acorn pull chain that work just fine. The lap base is done in a French dark bronze patina. It has recently been rewired with the antiques style brown lamp cord and it still retains its original antique Bakelite plug. The base is considered to be in excellent condition and only shows minimal wear. The base is signed with the number “515” in raised relief. This is the model number of the base. The shade is in equally as good of condition. I could only find a handful of stress cracks in the glass 3 maybe 4. The most noticeable is a tight line in a peach or orange colored piece and this is pictures. Having stress cracks in a lamp 100 years old is quite common and acceptable. Neither of them are too obtrusive. The shade is not signed but it does have a price tag or mold pull out loop located on the inside of the shade and this is pictured. This pattern can be documented in the book “Mosiac Shades Volume II” by Paul Crist page 269 center row. This same pattern of shade and same base are pictured on the far right 2 examples. The shade doesnt have any missing or damaged filigree that I can see, I checked it many many times. Base is marked ML Co. The shade & base go together. C 1910 Wilkinson leaded art glass lamp. This is the best color blends for the “yin yang” nick named lamp. The entire shade is solid. Not full of heat cracks. I’ve seen and had others like this, this is the best I’ve seen look how the red tiles pop out and show sparkle adds just the right touch to the overall color scheme of the shade. Lamp stands 24 tall. Foot is 6 square each side of foot. Shade is 18″ wide 7″ deep. REMEMBER photos are a huge part of condition of lamp LOOK AT PICTURES what you see is what you get. Base is a true Wilkinson thought he bottom plate is missing where they normally signed their bases. Was a Gas Lamp! Yes lamps were made to burn natural gas in homes years ago. But it’s safe now converted to Electrical lamp wiring rides up the old gas port at the foot of the base. Base is in great condition ready to plug in and use. I will consider offers but feel my BIN price is excellent esp Quality. Too many buyers worry about price but don’t consider the condition of one that is really inexpensive.
