Antique Leaded Glass Window With 24 Luxfer Tiles Framed 28.5 X 35.5 Salvage
This is a great window that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian. It has 24 Luxfer or similar brand glass tiles with a distorted glass border set into zinc within a wood frame. There are no cracks or breaks. The original frame is painted on 1 side. It measures 28.5 inches wide by 35.5 tall and is. 1.5 inch thick. The glass only measures approximately 24 by 32 inches. Overall it is in good condition. Scratches and dings as it is antique. The glazing putty will need to be touched up. There is some paint on the glass. Please look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time!

Luxfer Glass Prism Tile Antique Door or Window panel. A beautiful Luxfer tile door reclaimed from a local school. It was indoors so the glass is clear without purple coloration. 312,290 for “an improvement in window-glass” (filed 1882, granted 1885). His improvement was the addition of horizontal prisms to the back side of square glass tiles, which redirected sunlight from windows where it was plentiful, back deep into rooms where light was scarce, reducing the need for artificial lighting and light wells. Luxfer is the best known name in prism glass, now particularly for their association with Frank Lloyd Wright. This item is in the category “Antiques\Architectural & Garden\Stained Glass Windows”. Antique Frank Lloyd Wright Luxfer Leaded Glass Window Panel Architectural C. 1900
This is an original early 1900’s Frank Lloyd Wright Luxfer leaded glass tile window panel. This panel features Luxfer glass tiles in two different designs, one with parallel grooves/ripples and the other with a flower/prism design. The majority of the panel has the groove/ripple design tile with an inside frame of the flower/prism, as seen in the pictures. Each glass tile has a light purple hue or tint that looks great when the light shines through it. This would look EXCELLENT with the use of reclaimed, period correct wood to create a frame for hanging in front of a picture window. The condition is pretty good considering it’s age. There is one glass tile missing in the bottom left corner but I have a replacement for it to be installed. The leaded frame does need a couple of cracks repair in the open area where the tile is missing. This leaded glass window measures 52″ on the long side by 43-1/2″ on the short side. Each glass tile measures 3-3/4″ by 3-3/4″ but the tiles on the right side of the frame are smaller, measuring 3-1/4″ by 3-3/4″. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your interest in this item. The item “Antique Frank Lloyd Wright Luxfer Leaded Glass Window Panel Architectural C. 1900″ is in sale since Sunday, February 25, 2018.
