The original green slag glass is free of chips, cracks, or repairs. The shade has tabs to secure it and somewhere in it’s life it had been epoxy in some junctions to add in the support of each panel. The measurements are approx. 20 1/2″W x 8 1/2″H for the shade and the lamp with the shade is 26H. If you would like more photo’s just ask. May be less but I want it to get to you safely. ANTIQUE SIGNED LEADED GLASS SHADE AND BASE HANDEL LAMP. BASE HAS A NICE BROWN PATINA SIGNED ON BOTTOM, HANDEL WITH THE NUMBER 658 AND HAS BEEN REWIRED WITH APPROPRIATE BROWN CLOTH CORD. HAS ORIGINAL CAP AND FINIAL AND ACORN PULLS FOR THE TWO SOCKETS. BASE LOOKS GREAT WITH NO ISSUES. ALSO HAS A WONDERFUL LEADED GLASS SHADE THAT REMINDS ME OF A PINK DOGWOOD TREE FLOWER BUT THAT IS ONLY MY OPINION. ALSO FLOWERS LOOK BRIGHTER PINK LIT UP THAN HOW IT LOOKS IN PICTURE. HAS A FEW CRACKS WHICH IS TO BE EXPECTED OF A SHADE OF THIS AGE. ALSO IS A NICE TALL, HEAVY SHADE. THE SIGNED LABEL ON SHADE IS OF EARLIER SHADES. THEY DID NOT PUT THE LITTLE STARS ON EACH SIDE OF HANDEL SIGNATURE UNTIL SOMETIME AFTER 1910. WILL LET PHOTOS BE THE BIGGEST PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK. LAMP IS A NICE SIZE. Up for your consideration is a large & very fine antique American slag glass lamp with a frosted caramel shade with hand-painted features, c. It has a beautiful gilt mixed-metal base with a 24 cord. The piece measures 23″ tall, 10″ wide, and 10 deep (at the base). The shade measures 21 in diameter. Overall, the piece is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, or damage to the glass panels or filigree. The base retains its original gilt patina, which shows only very minor wear.
