Leaded Glass Window

Signed Handel full 3 socket tree trunk Lamp w/22 slag glass leaded shade. This is a massive Handel lamp base with an enormous leaded shade. The lamp base retains its original patina consistent with its age. The ornate tree trunk design is clearly defined (see pictures). The extension on the top was made by Handel for larger shades made during that period. The lamp stands 26 tall to the top of the finial, it has Paiste sockets with acorn pulls. The shade may have been made by Handel or made for them. This shade design is shown in the Paul Crist Book on page 161 in the domical shape, peony design, although some of the colors may have been made up custom. As he suggests shades of this design could have been made by Hamilton Howell designer of Duffner and Kimberly shades. But the shade was definitely made for a Handel Lamp at some point. You can tell by the shade ring in the glass that fits perfect to the Handel ring, my assumption is that possibly someone had the lamp base and added the shade with the riser at some point?
