V296A Reframed Older Victorian English Leaded Stain Window 19 1/8 X 15
Style English Leaded Stained-Glass Window from England that has been reframed. Please Read This Carefully. We only sell OLD Windows. Glass making was not perfected until around 1930. Before then a lot of glass, especially glass made into sheets had bubbles, waves, imperfections such as ridges or lines of separation when the glass was made. It’s not unusual at all to find these in our windows, in most cases it’s desirable because it validates the age of the windows. If you get a window that to you looks like a “crack” is in it, simply run your finger across the line on both sides to “feel” the glass, if one side is smooth and the other side has a ridge or bump, it’s simply an imperfection in the way the glass was made. CRACKS Can Be Felt on BOTH Sides of the Glass, you can’t crack one side on a piece of glass without cracking both sides. The window has a pretty Red Glass Border around the exterior of the window plus Pale Burgandy, Very Pale Blue, Very Pale Green and Very Pale Amber glasses. The center with the window has a band of pretty Blue Glass with pretty Green glass on the inside of the band. To me, it looks like a “shield” inside the Blue with Green border with a Golden Cross on one side with Arrow Points on the other side. There are some small cracks in of the small Red Panes on the glass in the border, also two small pane looks like it was replaced with a piece of clear and there is 2 Small Cracks in the Blue Glass. The last two pictures are of the backside of this window. The window is about 19 1/8″ wide and about 15″ tall overall. The glass in window is about 16 1/2″ X 12 1/4″. Check Out My Feedbacks!!
