Antique Victorian Stained Glass Church Window Sash – Circa 1905 Architectural Salvage. The dimensions are 69 1/2″ x 58 1/2″ x 2 1/4 thick. This is a very large and wonderful piece that has the beautiful original colored glass, the lead joints are in excellent condition and the frame is in great condition as well. The frame has an aged painted white finish on one side and an aged shellac (varnish) finish on the interior side, both with a beautiful patina. This window is absolutely beautiful and is ready for installation! This Victorian leaded glass window is in Excellent condition with a beautiful patina and is ready for display, use or your restoration. Great a ntique leaded stained glass window. Nice stained glass with great colors. Center has a flower with green stained glass for the stem and petals and carmel and white stained glass for the flower. There are 38 panes of glass in total, one is missing and another is cracked. The sash is solid and the joints have some flex to them, but still solid. There are also numerous dings and nail holes in the sash. Has crusty old white paint on one side and a faded grey on the other. This is a great window that would be good for a restoration project or repurposed. Please look over the pictures and ask questions when needed. Measures Approx – 20″tall x 34 3/4″wide x 1 3/4thick. Gorgeous lot of 4 (two matching sets) antique stained leaded glass windows salvaged from an old Victorian home in upstate NY. Each window still in it’s original antique wooden sash frame measuring about 36 3/8″ by 13 7/8″ with a thickness of 1 3/4. Beautiful vibrant colors of blues, greens and amber. Two matching sets that were originally hung vertically and still have their antique hammered copper hinges. Could easily be rehung horizontally. One window has a noticeable bow and another has a slight bow due to age that could easily be repaired. Also noticed two small panels (please see pics) with slight cracks. Overall, these windows are in very good shape, especially for being well over a hundred years old. They look absolutely beautiful on a bright sunny day! Construction began on October 30, 1929, one day after the historic 1929 crash of Wall street. The hotel was first intended to be named the Park Tower and then the Sevilla Tower. However the depression slowed construction and the hotel did not open until October 1, 1931, as the Essex House. In 1932, the hotel was taken from its bankrupt owners by the US Government’s RFC That same year, the hotel erected its iconic six-story sign on the roof. The hotel was renamed JW Marriott Essex House New York on September 8, 2012, after the sale closed. The hotel was formerly the home of a many-starred restaurant, Alain Ducasse at Essex House. Essex House has and remains a treasure on the Manhattan landscape, home to stars and those who love the glamour and wonder of this early 20th century classic. Own a piece of history.
