Carved Cherry Wood SWAN Dining Room Table Lead Glass Top 4’x 5′ Large Oval Ducks
This item is EXTREMELY heavy. The wooden base is not so heavy, but the table top could barely be carried by two grown men. The table is almost in perfect condition except for three flaws. A very tiny chip on the very edge of the glass top. It is barely noticeable, but it is there. I tried to take a photo of the chip, but it is really difficult to see in the image (the last photo). The glass top is so heavy that it has put a strain on both swan necks. One of the necks broke several years ago right at the top of the neck where the tabletop meets the neck. It was a clean break and easily repaired, though you can still see the break if you look closely enough. The other neck is wobbly near where the neck meets the swan’s body. This part did not actually break, but it feels like it might soon. It may need to be reinforced somehow. It is a gorgeous table that has been in my family for at least two generations. The glass top is not physically connected to the wooden base. It merely rests on it, and there are felt pads there to keep the wood and glass from scratching. It measures: 30″ H x 48″ W x 60 L.
