Fine Antique Handel / Unique Leaded Stained Glass Apple or Cherry Blossom Lamp
From a local smoke free house is this fine Handel / Unique Arts and Crafts leaded lamp. It has an allover leaded floral design with an irregular border. It has leaves and flowers we have seen referred to as an apple or cherry blossom design made by both the Handel and Unique Art Glass Companies. The base has has a bronze finish with a floral design and an Oriental style pierced base. The base is not marked but we have seen several in reference books and others sell as Handel. Some were with and some without the Oriental pierced base. The shade is also unmarked and could be made by Handel or Unique Art and Glass Co. We were told that the Unique Art Co. Made shades for others as well as there own but were rarely signed. The lamp measures about 23 1/4 inches tall and about 16 1/4 inches wide. The shade alone measures about 16 1/4 inches wide and about 7 inches high. The electrics are original Hubbell sockets with acorn pulls. The wire was updated years ago and the electrics work well. The lamp is in good condition with some oxidation pimples on the lamp base and the lamp cap is press fit into the shade. See photos as they are part of the description.
