Antique Gothic Stained Glass Church Window Set(2), Tombstone Shape Philadelphia
ANTIQUE GOTHIC STAINED GLASS CHURCH WINDOW SET(2), TOMBSTONE SHAPE PHILADELPHIA. Rescued from a demolition project at a downtown Philadelphia church, this is a really interesting set of church windows. THESE ARE OVER 120 YEARS OLD, THEY ARE IN OVERALL GOOD SHAPE, BUT NOT PERFECT! The first one (one with wood repair). 10 3/8″ wide, by about 27.5″ tall. And is about 1 13/16 thick. This one has 2 red jewels and 1 red tile. Replaced a missing jewel. This window has 1 repaired crack(lead over). And 1 tiny crack remains. 10 5/16″ wide, by about 27 7/16″ tall. And is about 1 13/16 thick. I don’t see any cracks in this window. This window has one original jewel, and two red replaced tiles where jewels were missing. THERE MAY BE A HIDDEN CHIP OR CRACK IN ONE OR EITHER WINDOW, I LOOKED AT THEM IN STRONG LIGHTING.. FRAME CONSTRUCTION IS MORTISE AND TENON. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS! #6 shows an original jewel. #7 shows red replaced tile. #8 shows rigged wood repair. #9,10 shows mortise and tenon frame.
