Antique Stained Glass Transom Window 2 Of 2 37.25 X 14.75 Salvage
This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It has all clear distorted glass in a variety of textures and patterns with 6 jewels. The original frame is painted on both sides. It measures 38 inches wide by 14.75. And 1.5 inches thick as is. To make it a symmetrical transom 3/4 of an inch needs taken off 1 side for a finished width of 37.25. The glass only is appx. 32.5 by 10. Overall it is in good condition. Scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a few tight hairlines. The frame has small holes through. The glass has some bowing. The glazing putty will need to be touched up. Please look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job!
