ANTIQUE STAINED GLASS TRANSOM WINDOW 44 x 16.5 ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE
This is a great window that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian. It has all clear and clear distorted glass in a variety of textures and patterns with 4 bevels in the middle. The original frame is painted on both sides. It was originally a sidelite, to make it a transom a couple inches will need taken off one end of the frame. It measures 46.25 inches wide as is, 44 wide to make a symmetrical transom by 16.5 tall and is. 1.5 inch thick. The glass only measures approximately 40 by 12 inches. Overall it is in good condition. Scratches and dings as it is antique. One piece has a couple hairlines. The glazing putty will need to be touched up. Please look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time!
