ANTIQUE 1920s LARGE DIAMOND LEADED GLASS WINDOW, coal region PA Victorian
CLASSIC DIAMOND LEADED DESIGN, architectural salvage from a renovation of a mine boss Victorian home near Wilkes-Barre PA. Window dates around 1920. 19 1/8″ by 44 7/8″ by 1 7/16 thick. (one sill is 1.75 thick). THERE ARE NO ISSUES WITH ZINC OR GLASS. That area is in VERY GOOD condition. The frame is strong and looks original. Original window catch is still in place. Inside is natural varnished wood and the outside is painted white. THIS WINDOW ISN’T BOWED AND DOESN’T RATTLE AT ALL! Glass area only measurement. 16″ by 40″ by about 1/4. R-201 Reframed Older Pretty English Leaded Stain Window 28 5/8 X 20
Please Read This Carefully. We only sell OLD Windows. Glass making was not perfected until around 1930. Before then a lot of glass, especially glass made in to sheets had bubbles, waves, imperfections such as ridges or lines of separation when the glass was made. It’s not unusual at all to find these in our windows, in most cases it’s desirable because it validates the age of the windows. If you get a window that to you looks like a “crack” is in it, simply run your finger across the line on both sides to “feel” the glass, if one side is smooth and the other side has a ridge or bump, it’s simply an imperfection in the way the glass was made. CRACKS Can Be Felt on BOTH Sides of the Glass, you can’t crack one side on a piece of glass without cracking both sides. The window has pretty Green, Burgundy, Amber, Purple and a Type of Textured White glass. There are No Cracks in the glass of this window. The last two pictures are of the backside of this window. The window is about 28 5/8″ wide and about 20″ tall overall. The glass in each window is about 25 3/4″ X 16 3/4″. Check Out My Feedbacks!!
