PAIR of ENGLISH STAINED GLASS LEADED WINDOWS 28″ x 20″ with Original Sashes Double Hung. I really don’t know how old these particular windows are. I bought these windows at an antique store in 2004. The store only sells windows salvaged from England. The owner told me that what made this pair especially valuable was because there are 4 different types of glass (as opposed to the number of colors)used in each window. I bought them because they are pretty and would match my kitchen decor. Some of the glass pieces have bubbles from the way the glass was made (poured on a slab). The pattern reminds me of Edwardian, Art Nouveau style. The window frames are detailed with curved wood on one end of each window. The glass is in shades of blue, dark green, light green and variegated shades of purple and yellow. Depending on the time of day, the glass displays a variety of color. These windows are designed to be double hung, with a rope and pulley system. Measurements are of the window frame. Actual glass measurements are 24 1/2″ X 16″. Of course, the glass can easily be pulled from the existing window frames, and displayed in any number of ways. I always knew that eventually I would sell them, so I left them in the original frames. I brought them home, stripped the layers (and layers) of paint, stained them and hung them. One piece of the original hardware is still on one of the windows. I don’t know what type of wood frame, but they are very heavy. The glass is in great shape, no cracks, no chips. I currently have these windows hanging in my kitchen, in front of my own double hung rope and pulley system windows. I didn’t want curtains, and I wanted to take advantage of the natural light. Stained glass windows were perfect. I have remodeled my kitchen, and these colors just don’t fit my new color scheme. Please look at the pictures, as it is part of the description. Antique Double Entrance Doors With Transom Leaded Glass Windows Vtg 30X87 5-19M

A very nice package that includes a lovely pair of old double doors, a transom, and interior molding. These all came from a circa 1870’s estate in upstate New York that unfortunately had to be torn down. The doors have a nice old varnish on one side and old weathered grey paint on the other side. The doors also come with 6 original lift off hinges, the original brass door knobs that are as shown in the pictures, a brass doorbell, made by Cone and with a patent year of 1863, and original leaded glass panels, on which two of the large ones and one small one is cracked on one of the doors. It also appears to be made of a hardwood of some sort with veneer on either side, and we did notice walnut wood work around the house. The transom is solid with leaded glass panels. It has old white paint on either side of it, and there are some chips and scratches around the frame. Finally, the molding that comes with this set is interior molding and is 98% complete. The molding have some chips and there are small pieces missing. Overall, this package is in good condition, and shows some wear consistent with age. A pair of leaded glass French doors. These doors measure in at 83 inches tall by 32 inches each door. When they were in the home eight biting piece of wood ran down the center separating the doors these doors can be used together without the stabilizing centerboard and used as traditional French doors together. The doors are in really good condition And could be used separate or together. This is the first time we have been able to salvage stores with the diamond shape leaded glass in them. These are great windows that were salvaged from a New Jersey Victorian home. They are a double hung or top and bottom set. The colors and design are wonderful! The original frames are painted on both sides. The upper measures 32 inches wide, 29.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches thick. The lower measures 32 inches wide, 30.25 inches tall and 1.5 inches thick. The glass only is approximately 28 x 26 inches in each window. Overall, they are in good co ndition. Light scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. They have some hairlines but no missing glass. The glazing putty needs to be touched up. There is some paint on the glass. Please look at the pictures carefully. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch. My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! These transom pieces were usually over a door or across the top of a large window. The sizes are 31″ x 12″ Glass & 35.75″ x 16.75″ overall including the frame. The colors are Streaky Blue, Streaky Green and Streaky Blue/Gold. The obscurity of the background glass is Heavy. The original frame was unsalvageable so we have put this window in a new, painted frame. There is a small flaw in one of the Green diamond panes, as seen in the photo. This is NOT a crack.
