Large Scale Oak Floor Lamp with Leaded Glass Shade Hubbell Limbert Stickley Era

Large scale quarter sawn Oak floor lamp with a geometric leaded glass shade attributed to Duffner & Kimberly. Assembled fixture measures 77 tall. Shade measures 20″ square and 12″ tall. THe base measures 12 square and rests on four simple feet. The body features a warm finish on the tiger striped quarter sawn Oak. There are a few dings along the corners of the center pole. I will gladly provide images, but there was not enough room in this original listing. Perched atop the Oak center body is a cluster of four Harvey Hubbell INC pull chain sockets. Each pull chain measures 8 1/2 long and retains the original acorn shaped pull. The latest patent date on each socket shell is Oct 18 08. The brass components also retain a uniform finish. Shade features brass plated came and is extremely heavy. The shade fits the mount on top of the lamp perfectly. They appear to be an original set and not a marriage. The two piece heat cap has a fitter soldered to the underside that mates up with the fitter on top of the shade and holds it securely in place. I will gladly provide images of this detail as well. I was able to locate 5 cracked panels on the shade. 2 are in the bottom green border on opposite side of the lamp and are shown in images 10 & 11. The other 3 cracked panels are on a third side in the bottom row of caramel slag. They can be seen in images 8 and 9. Plug end is marked Hubbell as well. Cardboard socket insulators were replaced. Mica interiors remain intact. I was unable to find any maker’s mark or label on the shade or base. Wonderful addition to any collection. Additional pictures and measurements available upon request. Beautiful signed Large 1910 Handel Lamp Base with a 18 Unique Co. Poinsettia Leaded Glass Shade from the same time period of base. Unique Company Shade is brilliant with large pink poinsettas and red centers, with only a few hairline cracks, no loose or missing glass. Signed Handel base is excellent also with three sockets and acorn pull chains all in proper working order. Has teepee cap and finial and a newer period cloth cord and plug. Has one very small raised white spot which looks to be a calcium like build up on base but not sure what has caused this. A very minor issue as this lamp is over 110 years old. The shade is 18″ wide and 9″ tall. The base stands 26″ tall and 8″ wide at foot of base. Please see photos for best description. Will make a great holiday lamp. A extremely fine all original antique leaded slag glass with very fine bronze metal overlay work. A well documented very rare Whaley lamp shade in excellent condition. The slag glass that was used in this shade is second to none very vibrant and full of fire and intense colors the photo’s don’t do it any justice at all. The shade is very tight with no loose glass or leading. The original bronze patina on the leading is untouched and in excellent condition. It’s very seldom that I get to say this but there are no cracks or repairs to this very fine old shade. The untouched very dark patina on the extremely finely crafted bronze metal overlay work is in perfect condition. The shade is a little dirty but I will leave it up to the new owner to decide if they want to give it a gentile cleaning. This will also allow to be installed on many different lamp bases. There is a small flat spot on the shade fitter but will not affect it in any way that is shown in a photo. AN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS RARE LAMP! It is all original -other than rewiring. At some point in the past. The base is signed. (photos 5 & 6). I found no signature on the shade, but. I believe it to be original to the lamp. Gorgeous deep rich colors! The shade measures 16 diameter. And about 7.5 deep. The base measures about 20-1/4. To the top of the finial, and about. 6-7/8 diameter across the bottom. It retains its two original. Hubbell acorn pull sockets. All patina and wear is original to this lamp. I found no repairs (except for the rewiring). I found 2 scattered heat cracks. (I was fairly thorough, but a couple may have slipped by). There is a small split to one socket base. No issue with integrity. All original factory-applied patina is very intact. There are fuzzy remnants of felt on the bottom. But it was removed before the lamp came into. My possession, and I do not have it. This lamp is in good working order. The cord is older, but still supple. The pull chain switches all function properly. C 1912 Wilkinson Leaded glass “yin yang” lamp. SHADE ONLY no base. Shade is 18 x 7. Standard 3 Wilkinson aperture. Ring is the ring they used on gas lamps but still fits on normal Wilkinson caps as well as Wilkinson open top gas lamp racks. Beautiful version of the Yin Yang shade. They made this shade in a large variety of color mixes and different layout of tiles above the skirt details. I feel this is one of the best! Colors are vibrant and good blend of colors all complimenting each other. It’s said that Wilkinson used better glass in the shades made early in their career as lamp makers. I feel due to the’gas style ring for a gas lamp this is older and the glass certainly is some of the best. The shade is solid! No separations no loose pieces. May be a hairline but not obvious to me.
