Carved Cherry Wood SWAN Dining Room Table Lead Glass Top 4'x 5' Large Oval Ducks

This item is EXTREMELY heavy. The wooden base is not so heavy, but the table top could barely be carried by two grown men. The table is almost in perfect condition except for three flaws. A very tiny chip on the very edge of the glass top. It is barely noticeable, but it is there. I tried to take a photo of the chip, but it is really difficult to see in the image (the last photo). The glass top is so heavy that it has put a strain on both swan necks. One of the necks broke several years ago right at the top of the neck where the tabletop meets the neck. It was a clean break and easily repaired, though you can still see the break if you look closely enough. The other neck is wobbly near where the neck meets the swan’s body. This part did not actually break, but it feels like it might soon. It may need to be reinforced somehow. It is a gorgeous table that has been in my family for at least two generations. The glass top is not physically connected to the wooden base. It merely rests on it, and there are felt pads there to keep the wood and glass from scratching. It measures: 30″ H x 48″ W x 60 L. Antique Chicago Mosaic Stained and Leaded Glass Table Lamp Circa 1920 USA. Table lamp attributed to the Chicago Mosaic Lamp Company. This lamp features a beautiful and unique bow and flower themed shade with brown and white glass field and green accent tiles. The shade rests upon an art nouveau patinated bronze base with matching finial. The shade and base have been together since the 1930’s, owned by one family and passed on through generations. The lamp was re-wired in 2011 and is in good, safe usable condition. No losses or damage to the glass or base, only a few minor stress cracks as is expected due to its age. Approximately 25 inches tall, shade is 18 inches wide. The lamp will be professionally packed and boxed via The UPS Store. Shade is very well made, nice and sturdy. Shade is in excellent condition. No broken or cracked pieces. Base has some age consistent patina but no other issues. Socket has been replaced and is not a perfect match in color but looks good. Will package with the greatest of care. Antique Leaded Glass Table Lamp By Unique

This is a large and impressive Apple Blossom leaded glass table lamp by the Unique Art Glass and Metal Company of Brooklyn, NY. For similar examples see Mosaic Shades by Paul Crist and Leadedlamps. This is one of their finer shades on their very rare hexagonal base. All of it is done in their best Tiffany like verde green patina. Of all the fine makers, including Duffner, Handel, Riviere, etc. Unique came the closest to Tiffany in the quality of their patina. This base is a great example, 100% correct and with very little wear. The lead patina is worn is several spots and could use a touch up but the glass is tight with only a few tight heat cracks. The pale green leaves contrast nicely with the pink flowers and the caramel background turns lighter at it reaches the top. Top quality all the way with great color and contrast. Overall an impressive an radiant lamp. The base and shade are in good condition. The 2 piece heat cap is not Unique but is period. See the pictures for more detail. The shade is approx 22″ wide and the base 30″ tall. Or so depending on destination. Feel free to ask any questions or request additional pictures. All sales are final.
